What I did for Thankgiving Weekend!!

Well like I said in the last entry I am not American but I kinda celebrate Thanksgiving cos I love it! On Thursday I watched movies!! I watched Pieces of April and Home for the Holidays and Addams Family Values and Planes Trains and Automobiles (oh my the fairies that stop naughty words going in my ears were SWARMING in one scene of that one!!) I also had a turkey and stuffing and sausage and bacon and cranberry sammitch and made a pumpkin pie which was awesome!!

I had stupid RL work friday and Saturday but on Sunday my sister and her boyfriend came home and the whole family went to see Harry Potter at the movies! It was such a sad movie :( But I loved it. After that we went for an enormous meal at a restaurant. I had a squuuuuge burger hehe. It was an awesome weekend!

What I Am Thankful For

It is Thanksgiving and I love this holiday even tho I am not American because I love America and I have a lot to be thankful for. This year I am most thankful for the good people and things that keep going despite it havin been a difficult year. I'm talking about SL and RL and personal and worldly things and everything. And I am even more thankful for the silly belief I have that if we just keep workin at and towards the things we love and live for, for truth and what we all know is right, even when they don't feel worth continuing, then actually the best is yet to come instead of behind us. I hope that made sense because it is very important to me.

(I stoled this picture I don't know who henzel is lol)

My First Day!

I loved my first day back! I couldn't wait to see Miss Nevy again. I was scared there would be too many people but some people didn't come so there were just right number of people! We had to bring something that represented us and I brought my pigeon and told his story which made people laugh which made my story mean even more! One day I will maybe put that story here :)

What I like and dislike about myself!

What I like and dislike about myself are actually the same thing! I am very different from other people and sometimes this is an amazing thing to be… in fact most of the time it is :) But some of the time it can be hard, in fact sometimes so hard it makes me wish I wasn't. A lot of people don't get along with me because I am different and even though I know that they aren't worth worrying about it doesn't stop me being sad that they don't like me. But in the end it only makes the ones who DO like me even more special. So it's really all for a reason :)

Why I chose Oceanside…

Going to Oceanside was a total no-brainer for me as not one but two of my favourite teachers in the world, Miss Nevy and Mr Jace, were going there too. I tried at another school (which shall remain nameless!) twice and it always went wrong for me and if I am honest if it weren't for these teachers I would have given up on school altogether.

Though there are lots of nice people I have met in class etc, and we have fun learning and playing and things, I am really only there for them because I don't make many friends and I count Miss Nevy and Mr Jace among the few people I feel 100% comfortable around. I hope this was not too corny speshly after the serious last journal hehe… I will try to be more fun in the next :)

I was scared…

Some people are scared of witches n monsters but I have found that actually witches and monsters can be okay sometimes. The thing that scares me most is things ending. In Second Life this means I get scared most when I think I might leave, or that someone I love might leave, or that Second Life might just disappear altogether. I am terrified of those moments where something gets said or done that makes everything different forever and you can't go back. This journal is short cos it's not nice to think about.

How I feel about Halloweeeeeeen!

Well if you have been reading my journal then you already know I LOVE HALLOWEEN! lol :) Let me think what else to tell you about it. Here's what I will be doing this Halloween!

I sing in Second Life as well as bein' my cute little random self so I will be singing scary songs as much as possible! Well they are not berry scary but they have a scary theme like, Phantom of the Opera or Rocky Horror or hmmm oh yes I have one from Nightmare before Christmas!

I have tonnnnnns of costumes to wear and I will be trying to wear them all this month saving the best for Halloween! Off the top of my head I have a bloody bride, Sally and Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas, Hit Girl, the Bride from Kill Bill, lots of candy corn color dresses, oh and one I made all by myself which I am most proud of, Elphaba from Wicked.

I was hopin to build a scary house on my beach but I am not sure if I will have the time to do that this year. Instead I might bring out one of my old projects. Two years ago I made the Exorcist house and it's awesome, I justhope I can put it back together cos I took it down very quick LOL. If I have time this year I wanna make the Psycho house.

And finaaaally, this isn't SL but in RL I spend the whoooole of Halloween watching scary movies! I also eat candy corns and I make the BESTEST pumpkin soup. I carve a pumpkin or two too. Here is the one I carved last year:

So in case you didn't guess ... I LOVE HALLOWEEN! :)

5 things I have learned in class

We learned about biomes, I had never even hear that word before not even RL! But now I know.
We learned about cinquaine poems which I had never heard of before too!
I have learned PATIENCE. Well kinda. The whole of Second Life teaches patience. It is hard to stick at sometimes because of lag and other things but some of the people are just too nice to give up because of silly lag.
I have learned Miss Nevy can make some really funny noises in voice, lol
And hmmm… Oh yes I have learned that dogs are people too!

If Cows gave root beer instead of milk?

I had to read this one over and over 'cos I thought I had got the wrong end of the stick like I did with the endangered species journal!! But it seems this is what Miss Nevy REALLY wanted us to write about so here I go…

If cows gave root beer instead of milk… first of all I'd be happy! Because here in England we don't have a lot of root beer, you have to go to special stores for it and it's always too expensive, and I love root beer ever since I tried it years ago in America! But we do have lots of cows in England. So at first I would be laughing!

But then I think, where would I get milk from! I use milk lots! On my cereal! In my coffee! On its own after a nice sammitch! For some of these things I guess I could use fake milk, or even milk from other animals (tho that makes me squeamish!). But for a nice big glass of milk on its own after cookies or sammitches, I'm sorry, nothing compares to yummy cow's milk!! So in conclusion I vote no on cows giving root beer instead of milk! I will just learn to have root beer on special occasions only!

Autumn!

I LOVE Autumn. Let me count the ways…

1. The temperature is just right! I get hayfever in the Summer and my long hair makes me itch even more to the point I think about getting it all cut off so you know it must be bad! And in the Winter though I love Christmas and everything sometimes it just gets TOO DARN COLD but in Autumn it is just perfect. If it gets a little chilly we put the fire on and it's cosy. Those are the perfect nights.

2. It's pretty! Even though leaves falling off trees is kinda like dying which is sad, is there ever a prettier dying than the reds, oranges, and browns of autumn? When the gentle wind comes along and whooshes them all up it can be sort of spooky but it's just all so pretty that I love it.

3. Speaking of Spooky, Halloweeeeeen! I have mentioned this already in my blog so you know how much I love it, but the closer it gets, the more excited I becomes!

4. Only a week after Halloween here we have Guy Fawkes Night which I love almost as much. This is the night we remember when a man tried to asplode the Houses of Parliament in London. We burn a Guy which is a big doll dressed as him and set off fireworks to remember the asplosions that might've been. I guess we are sposed to remember how he was stopped and so we don't think about doing the same thing but I know a lot of people who would love to see the Houses of Parliament asplode and I think that's why we keep setting off fireworks!!!

5. THEN at the end of November is a holiday that I don't really celebrate because I am not American but I sort of do anyway. It is Thanksgiving when America remembers the Pilgrims celebrating the harvest and inviting Native Americans to join them and also just give thanks in general for whatever they are thankful for. That last part is the part I like and why I sort of celebrate it too because being thankful is something everyone should celebrate. I like all the food that goes with it too and I have a Thanksgiving sammitch! which is turkey and sausage and bacon and stuffing and cranberry sauce all stuffed into two pieces of bread hehe :) And I watch Thanksgiving movies like Pieces of April, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Addams Family Values and Home for the Holidays. This is also when Christmas officially begins in my world too… but I will save that for another blog I am getting ahead of myself!!!

If I Were a Mouse?

I'm sorry I haven't blogged in so long! I am about to catch up so BRRRACE YOURSELVES!

If I were a mouse I would be too small to see most things! I guess I would see people's shoes and socks so that would be how I told them apart. I would see the food they dropped and maybe some of it would be good for dinner so I might have to learn which pairs of shoes and socks dropped the best food so I could pounce and grab it before any other critters did! I would also see insects and pets but they would be GINORMOUS so I don't think I would like it. Even a cute kitty might be scary at that size especially because they would look at me and think I was dinner! Well I have scared myself too much about this one so that is all.

What September Reminds Me Of…

Hmm what does September remind me of?
September is when finally Summer is all gone and it starts getting really dark outside ready for Autumn. I start getting very excited about Halloween coming up because it is one of my favourite holidays (with Christmas and New Year and Easter and my Birthday). I start thinking about my costumes (yes, costumeS, hehe, I make Halloween last all week now and wear as many costumes as I can!) and how I will decorate my land, which I need to start soon so it is done in time. Here's how it looked last year!

If Children Ruled the World!

"All our greatest wishes are granted, let us sing, let innocence reign
All our prayers are finally answered, blessed and free of all pain
Towers of fire rise ever higher, magical flags will be unfurled
The demons are gone, the young are the strong
The night that children rule the world
When the children rule the world…"

That is from a musical I love called Whistle Down the Wind. I wanna say that if children ruled the world things would be better! But the thing is, even though children can be really so much smarter than grownups think, and a lot of the time even smarter than some grownups, there are just as many bad kids as there are bad adults so things would be just about the same I think. Children SHOULD be given more say in how things are run though… especially the smart ones! We could have a test I guess to pick those out.

A picture of Spain (taken by a spaceman I guess).

Once thing is for sure, the world wouldnt end or anything if children were in charge. Spain had a queen once that was only 12 and the last time I checked Spain was still there!

Anna Paquin as Queen Isabella, she did not break Spain!

Which quality best describes my life!

EXHIBIT A: Parachuting!

The quality that best describes my life is… RANDOM! When I get up in the morning I usually have NO IDEA what I will do with myself and even if I do I usually end up doing something else hehe! I just do whatever comes into my head that sounds fun. This is how most of my most happy memories of Second Life always came about :)

EXHIBIT B: This is me dressed as a bananana with maracaracas next to a coke machine while my big sis was singing "Coke and Bananas" by Barry Manilow!

If I could be any Animal…

There are lots of animals I would like to try being but none so cute as the slow loris! If you were to ask me right now to pick one it would definitely be this one. Whenever I got sad I would just look in the mirror and laugh for the rest of the day. If you know of a cuter animal let me know!

Why We Have to Save the Dangerous Spices!

I do not like very very spicy food so goodness knows why anybody would want to save dangerous spices but the point is they have as much right as anybody to eat what they want. Also if we didn't save the dangerous spices one day aliens or ghosts might come and we find out that hot curry powder was the only thing that could stop them takin over and we would feel very silly for letting it get extinct wouldn't we? Anyway I will not be eatin any more very spicy food but that doesn't mean I have to go around stomping on dangerous spices because one day they could save the world and if I start stomping on them just 'cos I don't like 'em what's to stop someone stomping on something I like like baby lasagnes!

(actually that would be funny for a bit cos they would get their shoes messy but then the baby lasagnes would never grow into big lasagnes which would be bad bad bad!)

To conclude, we should stop stomping on each other's food because if we do there will be nothing left. That is why we must save the dangerous spices because they are just as important as baby lasagnes so stop it okay!

(class was confusing today so I day dreamed a lot I think this is what we were sposed to write about tho)

What I think of people who take advantage of people!

People who take advantage of other people are nasty n don't I know it! I think sometimes because I am so nice people think they can get away with anythin and I am sad to say that for a long time they did because I let them! But in the end I realised those people were makin me sad and were only nice to me cos they wanted to eat up my love like a vampire and I said NO MORE. People gotta be special to get the best of me now and I wish it wasnt that way because I used to think the best of everybody. I still try to but it is harder. And all because of people who take advantage! There is no picture with this one because it is sad to think about.

If I had a superpower!

OK listen up 'cos I have thought about this a lot and the BESTEST superpower would be to be able to change into other people! You could do ANYTHING if you could do this!

You could be Violet from The Incredibles and be invisible and make forcefields and stuff!

You could be Supergirl and fly and be strong and see through stuff! and point!

You could be Miley and walk the red carpet!

You could be Ronald McDonald and get free hamburgers!!

Or Jodie Foster and win an Oscar!

But I would only use my power for good!

(having fun is definitely good!!! lol)

And I would always turn back into to me!

The best thing about Second Life is we can kinda do this anyway!!

Monday 23 August 2010

What does the month of August remind you of or make you think about?

1. The end of summer! It's sad 'cos no more barbecues but happy 'cos I love Autumn and Halloween and Christmas and I'm excited!!!

2. Time to go back to school which is exciting this year because I have a new school and my favourite teacher Miss Nevy!

3. My big sissy's birthday!

4. Woodstock! I love dressin up and pretending I was there even tho its way before my time even RL! Here is a Woodstock stage I built!

5. Augustus Gloop he went to Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory and ate too much chocolate and fell in a river of chocolate!
