Looking Forward, Looking Back! My SL10B Exhibit!

[UPDATE: Now complete with a link to the actual place!
Hi everyone! I haven't posted here in ages!
I built a special exhibit for this year's Second Life birthday celebrations called "Yesterday Once More"!
It has lots of pictures which might not load 'cos lag etc so I thought I would put them here also. And for those strange people not in Second Life?
They are things I have learned in Second Life in my 7 years there and some of my favourite memories. Sorry they're square n squashed but that was required for SL10B rules!

7. To get more buckets to put all my free chocolate in!
8. To finish writing my bucket list! To finish writing my bucket list!
9. To do all the things on my bucket list!
10. To think of a tenth thing!

How they built Stonehedge!

There are lots of ideas about how they made Stonehedge but what I think is it must have been back when there were still giants and really all Stonehedge is is a game of dominos they forgot to finish! The spots have rubbed off over the years but I think it would have looked something like this originally!

(somebody must have stolen the dice!!)

If I was an Indian on the Grand Canyon!

One thing I noticed at the Grand Canyon was there were squirrels everywhere so hopefully if I was an Indian living there I would still have my Cyril with me! I expect they would call me Talks With Squirrels or something 'cos he's on my shoulder all the time! They didn't have TV or ham sammitches so I don't know what I'd do with myself all day but I expect I would find something! Maybe I would draw in the sand or on the rocks cos I like drawing! They used to live in teepees which are pointy tents not giant toilet rolls! We could tell stories around the fire at night but they didn't have marshmallows so I don't know what we'd have with our hot chocolate! But I don't think it would be too boring!

Here's some pics I took when we were there!

Crocodiles!

Alligators

At first I thought these were alligators but I didn't know the difference between alligators and crocodiles and I just read that alligators are only native to America and China so I guess these must be crocodiles as they were in Africa!

They are a reptile and live near water and are thought to be over 200 million years old!! which means yep they survived whatever killed the dinosaurs! So it is probably true what they say "never smile at a crocodile!" because they have probably seen a lot! Crocodiles are very dangerous to people but this doesn't stop some people from killing them for their skin and even to eat their meat! We were at a very safe distance from these crocodiles on our trip… in fact I was one of the only people to spot them! :)

Free Ice Cream!

For my school blog lol (new)

If I was to make my own ice cream it would be called Free Ice Cream! Because all ice cream should be free! The flavours would be decided by the taster! I would have to get Willy Wonka involved because he knows how to do things like that. When you took a scoop or lick of the ice cream you would imagine what flavour you wanted and that would be what taste it would be! The colour would also change like a chameleon to perfectly complement its surroundings!!

Okay if this was not possible I would settle for the best most creamiest strawberry you have never ever tasted yet, it would be the perfect pink colour not too hot or pale and I would call it Melody's Dream :)

My Favourite Sim!

Isla Desirae!

There is only one sim I can really say in answer to this though there are lots of sims that I love. But my favourite of all is the one I call home: Isla Desirae :) It even makes me smile to say it! It is the prettiest name for a sim I have ever come across and that was just one reason I chose to move my entire beach there from yuckkkky-named Metellus!

I first went there because I liked going to its owner Kim Seifert's live concerts. She's one of the best singers in SL even tho she doesn't sing much anymore. One day she invited me to look around the island and it was amazing! I saw that some parts were up for rental and though it took me awhile to decide (even though Metellus had a horrible name it still felt like home and had lots of memories!), the rest is history!

New Beginning?

(that's me when I was thinking about moving!)

There are lots of changes happening on Isla Desirae right now - for instance, lots of horsies just moved in next to me! And a plaza has also been built next door! They are going to have lots of hunts I was told. But my favourite place (except my beach! hehe) is staying the same - that is the middle of the island where there is a park with a Paradise Blanket and tons of SL art that Kimmee has collected. There is also a lovely venue that island residents are allowed to use.

Beautiful :)

My place is called Harmony Beach. It is the building that looks like a present in the pic up top (it's pink so you probably guessed that already!!) It is on the East side of the island so gets good sunsets and sunrises! I designed and built it all by myself! It's called The Gift of Music and it has a music hall downstairs and a big movie screen upstairs with real cinema seats and popcorn and candy and ice cream and a bar! Next to that I have another patch of land which is empty right now but I usually put themed things in there for the season like in summer I built a Woodstock stage to go there and at Christmas Narnia!

Anyway, for all these reasons, my favourite sim is ISLA DESIRAE! (I also love Here, Livingtree, and Oceanside of course too!!!)
